What We Do
Preliminary Assessment:
We work with you to find out exactly how the Equipment, Process Unit or Facility will operate. An acknowledgement of the requirements, including load factors, redundancy requirements, and phasing requirements, are used to develop the initial program. This will better serve your facility's overall function which will drive the initial Engineering and Design.
Design and pReconstruction:
CPS will fully develop an engineering program using industry best practices tailored to your needs. When the initial program is set with your approval, CPS will engage with best-in-class design professionals to produce the necessary documents for permits, construction and equipment manufacturing. We will provide continuous evaluation of the design to make certain that the technical and commercial requirements are met.
Procurement and Construction:
Purchasing or manufacturing of equipment, vendor approval, contract negotiations, vendor surveillance and inspection are all the KEY elements of project success. It is imperative that these phases and activities are performed to the highest standards. CPS performs these functions on behalf of you through a thorough tendering process to ensure that all technical requirements are met at the best commercial value. Upon completion of procurement, CPS will be the 'boots on the ground' for the owner. Continuous oversight of the construction process facilitates the job being completed on time and within budget.
Commissioning:
The commissioning process continues through all stages of the project. During the pre-construction phase, Comprehensive Project Solutions will provide support, insight and recommendations to the project team based on its 100+ years of collective experience concerning issues that could impact the final success of the project.
Comprehensive Project Solutions looks at commissioning as the most critical end user interface. A good commissioning process will facilitate transfer of equipment, process unit and/or facility to its operating group efficiently and will reduce the plant operating cost, through a comprehensive process of verifications, start-up procedures and functional tests during the construction phase.
Comprehensive Project Solutions' commissioning practices begin by confirming that all commissioning related activities are properly identified and scheduled. Our organization will assure the full cooperation and involvement of professionals, work contractors and suppliers throughout the commissioning process.
The commissioning process must be realized for each sector to be accorded provisional acceptance and must include the following five stages:
1. Stage 1: Factory Witness Testing
2. Stage 2: Site Acceptance Testing
3. Stage 3: Prefunctional Testing and Startup
4. Stage 4: Functional Testing of Individual Equipment
5: Stage 5: Integrated Systems Testing
Post Occupancy Review:
One of the most important, and one of the most overlooked, phases of a project is the Post Occupancy Review. This closing phase of all projects assesses which aspects worked, provides invaluable lessons learned and real future savings. Included in the Lessons Learned manual those aspects which did not work can be even more beneficial and help to avoid costly pitfalls in future projects, as well as identify on-going performance issues.
